Course: Strathtay

Location: Perthshire

Brief description: 9 hole, 18 tee parkland course on a hill above the lovely village of Strathtay. A challenging course amid beautiful scenery.

What to expect of the course: A 9 hole challenge with different tees for the back nine. The hillier, more demanding holes are hidden by trees. A straightforward 3rd hole becomes much more demanding as 12th. The 5th/14th are demanding uphill walks to a green just over the hill. The 8th/17th require controlled tee shots. Some elevated greens require distance control and straight hitting.

 What to expect of the overall visit: Strathtay is only fifteen minutes from the A9 main road. The village is beautiful and the clubhouse setting idyllic. It is a very friendly club as found in the members and course manager. There is an honesty box for quiet times with clear instructions. The course is well maintained but don’t stray far from the fairways as bracken awaits.
