Royal Dornoch

Royal Dornoch (Championship)

Location: Dornoch (Highlands)

Brief description: The best course never to hold the Open as its often described. Perhaps too short now, in the modern game, but a course that usually conquers the golfer rather than the other way around.

What to expect of the course: A magnificent golf course from start to finish. A  gentle opener disguises the challenges ahead. Good shots get rewarded, poorer shots sometimes do as well. The greens are almost all like upturned saucers where a good short game will make your day,

What to expect of the overall visit: You will be met by the meet and greet team, directed to the Pro shop and welcomed on the tee. The clubhouse will cater for your every need where you can sit and reflect on your job well done or the one that got away. Either way you'll love it.

Open Golf Competitions

Royal Dornoch (Struie)

Location: Dornoch (Highlands)

Brief description: The other course and once was a course where you had to prove you could play before being allowed on the championship course. Make no mistake this is a great course in its own right and do not make the mistake of focussing only on the headline act.

What to expect of the course: Aside from the opening and finishing holes, a flat course where straight drives and good course management will be your friend. Do not try and beat this course with your driver - you will lose. Plot wisely, as its a great course with hidden dangers!

What to expect of the overall visit: You will be met by the meet and greet team, directed to the Pro shop and welcomed on the tee. The clubhouse will cater for your every need where you can sit and reflect on your job well done or the one that got away. Either way you'll love it.
