Course: Ravelston Golf Club
Location: Edinburgh
Brief description: Adjacent to Murrayfield Golf Club, on the east side of Corstorphine Hill this 9 hole course has a small car park, and quaint clubhouse that serves terrific snacks and non alcoholic beverages.
What to expect of the course: Small greens protect this relatively short course. Whilst short it is tricky. A blind 1st is followed by a tough par 3 at well over 200 yards with an elevated green. The course then wanders up and down the natural terrain, gradually, before ending with a delightful par 3. It is a very popular course with an active membership and really is protected with small greens, small bunkers and strategically positioned 'white rough'.
What to expect of the overall visit: Expect a pleasant game of golf followed by relaxing in the lovely wee clubhouse. It has a genteel feel, and is simply one of the friendliest clubs you can expect to visit anywhere.
