Course: Clydebank and District Golf Club
Location: Hardgate, Clydebank
Brief description: An 18 hole parkland course with the remains of the Antonine Wall at its southern boundary. At 5,800 yards it is not a long course and, in places, it is quite quirky. It is well looked after with excellent greens and friendly staff.
What to expect of the course: Clydebank and District offers a good day out. The course is well maintained and it is easy to forget all the history of industry which surrounds you. It has something for everyone from challenging tee shots to approach shots requiring thought. Some holes can be made harder with tricky pin positions.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
What to expect of the overall visit: You will like the C&D clubhouse and enjoy eating there even more. The well stocked pro shop is a very friendly, patient and helpful place. The members are friendly and helpful too and proud of their club, as is only right.
Clydebank and District is on the edge of old industrial Scotland and just at the foot of where the Scottish Highlands rise up.
