Brief description: The course is above the popular village of Dunkeld. Lots of parking available before walking uphill to the clubhouse and 1st tee, where the views of central Perthshire are breathtaking. Check in at the clubhouse.
What to expect of the course: Once a 9 hole course, this has been successfully extended to 18. The front nine, which is most of the original course requires patience and course management whilst the back nine, some might say, is a little more forgiving. Its a very enjoyable course, not long, but a good few ups and downs to negotiate without ever being a chore.
What to expect of the overall visit: Dunkeld & Birnam is a thoroughly enjoyable course set in a stunning location. The clubhouse is cosy, modern and very welcoming. Like many Perthshire courses, its a hidden gem that should not be passed by.
