Course: Muthill Golf Club
Location: Muthill, Perthshire
Brief description: Set on a compact site on the edge of the village, Muthill has evolved and developed over the years into a very enjoyable and well cared for wee nine holes with separate tees for each nine.
What to expect of the course: Expect a course of no great length and much charm but don’t expect it to be easy. Straight, well placed hitting is required and a good short game. The greens are small but tricky, often quite firm. Young and mature trees give holes definition and create obstacles. The different tees on each nine were a great innovation but read the tee signage carefully.
What to expect of the overall visit: Muthill has limited car parking which is adequate until busy days. Report in at the clubhouse and receive a very friendly, helpful welcome. Muthill members are rightly passionate about their club. F&B is wonderful with home cooking and baking at very reasonable prices.
Muthill is a great wee club and “Lang May Its Lum Reek.”
