Course: Murrayshall Hotel and Golf Course
Location: Scone, Perth
Brief description: A resort with an 18 and 9 hole course. Lovely hotel and grounds where golf is evidently the favoured past time. Lots of parking, and a warm welcome awaits at both the hotel reception and Pro shop.
What to expect of the course: Once two 18 hole courses, this is now an 18 and 9 hole with the Murrayshall 18 hole course being a fine test as it meanders between mature woodland. A feast of parkland with many Perthshire views on the side, served with generous fairways and big greens makes this a popular and forgiving course. The shorter 9 hole Lynedoch course is a lovely adventure and good as part of a golf day.
What to expect of the overall visit: This is first and foremost a golf resort where the focus is corporate golf. It is a fine place to play but don't expect the usual golf club layout and atmosphere.
