Course: Muckhart Golf Course
Location: Rumbling Bridge, near Yetts O Muckhart
Brief description: A feast of golf awaits with 28, yes 28 holes. Good parking, well stocked pro shop and friendly clubhouse await.
What to expect of the course: With 2 nine holes and one 10 hole course, where the first on the 10 hole course is alternated during winter months, there is a lot of golf to be played here. The original 2 layouts are tree lined, rolling and not overly long. With blind shots to greens, and then tricky greens, the positioning of your shots from 100 yards in is a great challenge. The newer 9 holes is a little more modern being spread out with larger greens and fewer trees (but plenty rough!).
What to expect of the overall visit: In the shadow of the Ochils this can be a wet course, particularly in the shoulder and winter months, BUT the courses are great value and well worth playing. Great course for an outing.
