Brief description: On the outskirts of Musselburgh, this Open Qualifer course offers lots of parking, a clubhouse which is popular with the members and a good relaxed informal atmosphere.
What to expect of the course: A course that demands use of every club in the bag. Par on any hole is good, even those that are relatively short for their par. A good 'drivers' course where well placed drives, or at least straight drives, make the approaches considerably easier. It's easy to understand why this was an Open Qualifying course given the thoughtful and challenging layout.
What to expect of the overall visit: A course and club that rarely receives criticism because they both deliver exactly what they should. It's a course that produces fine golfers and has done so consistently for many years. It's not difficult to get to and you'll feel at ease from the get go. Enjoy it!
