Course: Monifieth and Ashludie
Location: Monifieth, Dundee
Brief description: Report to the starters box before playing. The longer of 2 courses attached to Monifieth Golf Links, the other being Ashludie.
What to expect of the course: Monifieth Championship course has the first 6 holes running with railway on your right - nuff said! A traditional links course which has a fair number of holes that require accuracy through the gorse lined fairways and avoid the large pines.
Ashludie is the shorter of the 2 courses but has no fewer challenges. Underestimate this course at your peril and don't think you'll beat it with your driver.
What to expect of the overall visit: Municipal courses served by a comfortable clubhouse are superbly maintained and very enjoyable to play. The Clubhouse serves reasonably priced food and drink and overlooks the 18th of the championship course.
