Course: Lundin Golf Club
Location: Lundin Links, Fife
Brief description: An Open qualifier, 'Lundy' is a tough but relatively short links course. Lots of parking, a lovely elevated clubhouse overlooking the beginning and ending to the course, and a good well stoked Pro shop.
What to expect of the course: The first 4 holes play along the coast where the wind will determine how hard or tolerable your start will be. The course moves back towards the clubhouse before veering inland then closing with 4 holes straight back from where you started. Once again, the wind will determine how tough your finish will be though the 18th guarantees to test you.
What to expect of the overall visit: Courses don't just become Open qualifiers; this is a quality course with really good golf holes. From arrival, you'll be itching to hit from the elevated 1st tee. One underway the best advice is to play within yourself. Patience will be rewarded, and if that fails, the view from the clubhouse post golf will surely cheer you up.
