Loudon Gowf

Course:  Loudon Gowf Club

Location:   Galston, Ayrshire

Brief description:  The club has derived its name from the family who first played golf there 400 years ago. At 6,000 yards, this flat parkland beauty tempts golfers daily as they pass on the A71. It’s hard to resist..

What to expect of the course: Expect wonderful turf at Loudon. Turf from there was once used to relay Hampden Park. Loudon is always in good condition. Some of its holes could be seen as up and down in nature but it has a cunning burn which appears in several holes. Some favourite holes are the 3rd and 4th. Then the 12th with split fairway. It is excellent value for money.

What to expect of the overall visit: A good car park makes visiting easy. Report in at the clubhouse. Loudon is a particularly welcoming and friendly club as demonstrated by the staff and members. It deserves all the great reviews it receives.
