Lochcarron

Course:    Lochcarron Golf Club

Location:   Lochcarron, Highlands

Brief description:  A small car park and a small clubhouse to check in, or use the honesty box. On the banks of Lochcarron and crossing the road that takes you into the village of the same name, this is highland golf as you would imagine it to be.

What to expect of the course: A great challenge with tees that hit over the green you've just left and criss cross a wee bit, but it really is good fun. Small greens, short holes, tremendous views and play around a church adjacent to the course all make for an interesting round. On the road to the Applecross Pass (Bealach na Ba) it is very much out of the way but if you intend heading to that wondrous road up and over the hill stop before or after you've done it and fly round the bonny Lochcarron Golf Course.

What to expect of the overall visit: Nothing too serious, a bit of fun and probably a good laugh at one thing or another. It is not expensive but, once again, really enjoyable.
