Leven

Course:    Leven Links

Location:   Leven, Fife.

Brief description:  One of the oldest golfing grounds in the world. A course of pot bunkers and dunes, gorse and great views over The Forth. Playing on a course of history, character and challenge, especially in a wind.

What to expect of the course: The present layout is over 100 years old but golfers will sense that much of the course is completely natural. Clever flags indicate hole location, good signage leads players from greens to tees and ‘bunkers are bunkers’. The course often plays in the wind but holes are very fair.

(A wee challenge……. Can you hit the last in two shots?)

What to expect of the overall visit: Park either in the club car park or on the promenade. Report in at the pro shop by the first tee. This is a particularly friendly and helpful experience; the staff are first class. A choice of two clubhouses is available. From first hole to last, golfers will feel they are walking in the footsteps of so many, enjoying the challenges of golfers gone by. Home of the oldest medal competition in the world, every golfer should play Leven. “Get it on your Bucket List.”
