Killin

Course:    Killin Golf Club

Location:   Killin, Perthshire

Brief description:  Often described as “the most beautiful 9 Hole course in Scotland.” A rolling parkland course with fourteen tees and well guarded greens. Killin has many individual features not found on many courses.

What to expect of the course: The course is extremely pretty, set at the northern end of Loch Tay. Different tees on each nine ask different questions. The course can be quite wet after prolonged rain but on a dry summer’s day, it is absolutely wonderful. Holes 4&13 are testing driving experiences. 5&14 are par threes over a wall. Visitors will find all holes memorable.

What to expect of the overall visit: Killin is a little out of the way but worth the drive. The town is beautiful and the course well sign posted. The car park is small but adequate. Report to the characterful clubhouse and receive a friendly highland welcome. Accept the course as a highland gem, cared for by lovers of the club.  Hopefully you will pick a sunny day and see Killin at its finest.
