Forrester Park

Course:    Forrester Park Resort

Location:   Cairneyhill, Dunfermline

Brief description:  A gentle rolling parkland course attached to a hotel. Nine of the eighteen holes have water hazards. Sloping USGA greens offer challenges and the course offers good views.

What to expect of the course: Once part of the Keavil Estate, the 350 acre site provides perfect ground for a 6800 yard course. The course provides all levels of golfer with challenges and rewards and its elevated holes provide good driving opportunities. Wide fairways and elevated greens test nerve and self-belief. Scores can be made in the first third of the course.

What to expect of the overall visit: Ample parking is available around the resort. Report to the pro shop and helpful staff will get you organised. Warm up at the range before play or have a coffee in the converted stable block. The course is a fair length and on a sloping site but is not an overly hard walk. The greens, when dry and quick, can be a challenge but that may be one of the course’s defences as well as it’s length.
