Dunnikier Park

Course:    Dunnikier Park Golf Club.

Location:   Dunnikier Park, Kirkcaldy .

Brief description:  An 18 hole parkland course, and at 6,500 yards it is a good challenge. It is well laid out with mature trees and good bunkering. The first nine is set in woodland and the back nine opens out a bit more.

What to expect of the course: Dunnikier really is a good course and deserves more credit as a well maintained genuine test for all abilities.

Its signature hole is the par 4 7th with its deep dip in its fairway. The 9th and 12th are long par 5s at 547 and 597 yards respectively.

There is also a six hole course for beginners.

What to expect of the overall visit: Dunnikier is a true test. Quietly sitting in its location, it hides away its wonderful layout which really needs to be discovered by more golfers. Its clubhouse was refurbished in 2001 and offers good F&B. Its pro shop is a friendly, helpful place completing Dunnikier’s package. Maintained and developed by Fife Golf Trust, Dunnikier is another example of municipal golf which offers so much.
