Cowdenbeath

Course:    Cowdenbeath Golf Club

Location:   Cowdenbeath, Fife

Brief description:  Built on a former coal mine site, this 18 hole parkland course graduated from nine holes here in 1996. A young course but well set out and challenging. It has holes which are both attractive to the eye and enjoyable to play.

What to expect of the course: A course of character in a bonny setting.  ‘Dora‘ measures 6,200 yards. The course features three par 3s, one par 5 and fourteen par 4s. The course opens with a short par 4 which offers the chance of an early birdie, but other birdies will need to be earned.

Cowdenbeath is another of the Fife Golf Trust stable and another which surprises and pleases and hopefully will go from strength to strength.

What to expect of the overall visit: The course is well signposted and easy to find. A great car park awaits with a short walk to the clubhouse/pro shop. What a welcoming place, both staff and members offer warm greetings. The clubhouse offers great value for money, as does the greenfee.
