Course: Cathcart Castle Golf Club
Location: Clarkston, Glasgow
Brief description: A James Braid designed course and an easy one to get to. Good parking, a traditional clubhouse and a warm welcome can all be expected at Cathcart Castle. The views of Glasgow are often tremendous.
What to expect of the course: A parkland course that undulates, it is a surprisingly dry course, even at the lowest areas. At just over 5900 yards it's not long and with a Par 70, you could be forgiven for expecting to beat it. However, this is a tree lined parkland course with rough that grabs you ball, so whilst not long, it is well protected. Well worth a visit if you haven't played at Cathcart Castle.
What to expect of the overall visit: This is a traditional members golf club. Visitors are always warmly welcomed and the hospitality is very good. It is quite simply a lovely place to play golf and enjoy the hospitality after your game.
