Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society
Location: Edinburgh
Brief description: 18 hole parkland course, with stunning sea views. Generous fairways and fast greens complement this very good layout. Each hole has a different feel to it, and all are well bunkered.
What to expect of the course: An exceptional golf course, that was subject of a £1.2m redevelopment, completed in 2019. The 1st hole is one of the toughest opening holes in golf, particularly with a west wind, and the views from the 2nd and 10th tees are outstanding. It has superb bunkering, and a wonderful water feature at holes 16 &17 - beware, the pond takes more balls that you'd ever believe! One of the founding golf clubs in the world, it now also has a golf course that's one of the best in the UK.
What to expect of the overall visit: Report in at the well stocked Pro Shop where you will be pleasantly received. The lounge has stunning views across the River Forth. F&B available from 0800 daily and subject to seasonal demand. It is a very friendly members club and enjoys the company of visiting golfers.
