Brodick

Course:  Brodick Golf Club

Location:   Brodick, Isle of Arran

Brief description:  Set next to Brodick Bay the course layout measures around 4,500 yards. Eight par 3s, nine par 4s and one par 5 with rumpled fairways, shots over the river, trees and gorse. Brodick can delight and test all visitors.

What to expect of the course: Brodick is very flat. It is a tougher test than its length suggests. It is not all about long drives but more about carefully placed tee shots and accurate approaches. The course has something for all levels of golfer as well as beautiful views.

What to expect of the overall visit: A reasonable parking space lies across the road from the clubhouse. Visit the club shop first to sign in and receive instructions. The clubhouse staff are most welcoming and F&B is very good indeed. Brodick is one of seven courses on the island and the nearest to the main ferry terminal.
