Location: Banchory, Aberdeenshire
Brief description: Another fine 18 holes on the River Dee. This course has excellent par 3s and two par 5s. Picturesque is an understatement with the river, beautiful trees, well placed bunkers and highland views. A multi-levelled gem.
What to expect of the course: The River Dee has something special about it and it lends some of that feeling to Banchory Golf Club. At 5,800 yards it is not a long course. It has six par 3s with great variety. The course has a good flow on different levels, is well bunkered and it’s mature trees play their part in challenging golfers of different abilities.
What to expect of the overall visit: A memorable clubhouse with friendly atmosphere and welcome will catch visitors’ eyes. The F&B service is first class. The well stocked pro shop staff are equally welcoming.
Banchory is a first class experience and helps create an excellent Deeside Golf Break along with Aboyne and Ballater. All great in their own right, but combined, they will leave visitors with lovely golfing memories of the area.
