Auchterarder

Course: Auchterarder GC – est 1892

   

Location: Perthshire (11 miles from Perth)

   

Brief description: 18 hole parkland / woodland course,

with lovely views towards the Ochil Hills. The original 9 holes was designed by Ben Sayers in 1912 although the club was established in 1892. Auchterarder became an 18 hole course with the ‘new’ 9 designed by Gleneagles Head pro Ian Marchbank in the late 1970s.

   

What to expect of the course: A golf course of just under 6000 yards in recent years it has played host to the Scottish Boys and Girls national championships. Great variety of holes

with this is one of the best inland courses in central Scotland. Putting green and small practice area adjacent to the clubhouse.

   

What to expect of the overall visit: Report in at the Pro Shop where you will be pleasantly received. The clubhouse lounge has views to the Ochil Hills and meals served daily
