Aberfoyle

Course:   Aberfoyle Golf Club

Location:  Aberfoyle

Brief description:  A hillside golf course with a traditionally 'highland' clubhouse and sufficient car parking for all. Set on the outskirts of this lovely Trossachs village, this course offers tremendous views to the south and west.

What to expect of the course: It has a highland feel to it and being on a hillside, has many blind and quirky holes. After a flat start you gradually climb, traverse, come down then do it all again. The 9th hole is spectacular as you drive down to what appears a fairly narrow fairway - but its not. An enjoyable course with stunning views, wildlife and solitude.

What to expect of the overall visit: A friendly and comfortable clubhouse which has an honesty bar when unstaffed - that in itself speaks volumes for the type of club this is - trusting, welcoming and available. It's very pleasant, you will have to go up and down hills and there's water features galore. Errant shots usually results in a reload!
